Transporting Engineering Events
This is our first year going to Nats so we're a little worried about transporting our engineering devices. I'm pretty positive that we're going to fly right into Urbana-Champaign but I just wanted to know how you guys have been transporting your engineering events to nationals. Thanks!!!

Any recommended couriers? I don't trust myself driving around MP, let alone an abused and overworked man who can't read the word "fragile."
We're probably flying.

Re: Transporting Engineering Events
Would you have to pay for the truck? I would think that the cost of just traveling in the first place would override any additional luxuries such as transporting events via truck. And even there it's not completely safe. But I wouldn't really know, since I've never actually gone to nats.sj wrote:we are taking a bus this year but if we ever flew we would have a truck drive our events to the place ahead of time

Re: Transporting Engineering Events
Where would you ship it to though? Just UIUC? Is there anyone in charge of keeping the engineering devices mailed before hand until the teams arrive?

Re: Transporting Engineering Events
Some past host institutions have provided an address where you could ship items for the tournament. They put them in storage until your team arrives to pick them up. If the service is available, details should be in the invitation packet or on the tournament website.

That is probably a safer option then UPS.Squanto wrote:Poor people like us just get a substitute teacher to drive all our building events down in his jeep.
