Subscriptions feed
I was just thinking that it would be pretty cool that instead of getting a whole bunch of email notifications for subscribed threads, we could get some kind of RSS feed instead. I have no idea what kind of work might be involved in implementing this though, but i just thought of it and thought it would be a kinda cool feature.
There would be two ways to do it that I can think of. Either there would be an RSS feed for each thread, and you would subscribe to all the ones you wanted to monitor with an feed-reader, or you could have everyone get their own RSS feed for all their subscribed threads. The first one makes a lot more sense to me.
My inbox gets clogged with notifications all the time and it gets kinda annoying. This is what feeds are for!

Re: Subscriptions feed
Or you can just use the built-in filters in GMail or whatever mail provider you use.
EDIT: Unless you create a separate RSS for each thread, I don't see any way to group multiple threads into one RSS unless each one is custom-made.

Re: Subscriptions feed
Theres a way to turn of email notifications under the User Control Panel, but that is a pretty cool idea.

Re: Subscriptions feed
I just enabled the built in RSS feed stuff, but I have yet to actually find where any of it is now that it is supposedly there...so if you happen to see it, give a shout, lol

Re: Subscriptions feed
Yeah, but supposedly it should show up for individual topics and forums too. So I''ll see if I can figure out why it isn't >.>

Err, our forum skin's header doesn't show the meta tag for it. For now, you can slap an query string on feed.php and it will work as you want it to: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/feed.php?f=66&t=1258
