Re: Anyone Medal at Nationals?
1st in chem lab, 3rd in egg-o-naut (even though my partner did all of the work), and we got 12th in mission possible (but we should have gotten first, we were .05 seconds under the specified time; human reaction time is about 1.8 sec)

What did the B kids get again? Was it 2000 for each year?paleonaps95 wrote:Probably not, but maybe a good safety school.
I wonder how competitiveness would be affected if nats was held at an IVY or one of the top Tech Schools (Cal tech, MIT, Georgia Tech)

Re: Anyone Medal at Nationals?
Yeah, it was $2000 per year. As far as the other thing you said, the U of I is the only tournament to do the full-ride scholarships for 1st places, so it wouldn't make much of a difference if it was at one of the mentioned institutions as far as that goes, unless they decided to do that, which is extremely doubtful.lllazar wrote:What did the B kids get again? Re: Anyone Medal at Nationals?
It depends entirely on what field one wishes to study. If you wish to study engineering, then you should seriously consider UIUC . It's college of engineering has been consistently ranked in the top 10 among the US engineering colleges by the US News and Word Report.paleonaps95 wrote:Probably not, but maybe a good safety school.

Either way, the applicant would still have to get accepted through admissions, scholarship or not. I believe it mentions that on the UIUC site somewherehaven chuck wrote:Yeah, it was $2000 per year. Re: Anyone Medal at Nationals?
It's a full ride scholarship for an undergraduate degree, so if you want to go to another college that's better (and earn a masters or phd), you can still goSLM wrote:It depends entirely on what field one wishes to study.
