Marie Murphy Middle School is a Science Olympiad Division B team in Illinois. They compete in the New Trier Regional and the University of Illinois (UIUC) State Competition in Illinois. They have gone to Nationals 7/8 times in their State Competition, with this year being their 7th time. Their greatest achievement is an astounding 2nd place at Nationals in 2011 and 2012. Marie Murphy is the only team in Illinois Science Olympiad history to place in the top 3 at Nationals for an Illinois Science Olympiad team.
