I’d say no. By definition a platform with a hole is not a smooth uniform surface. It doesn't say "uniform" in the rules. My coach asked Steve Lovaas about this and here's his response: "In terms of the rollers, they can't practice in advance in the room where the competition occurs. That's not to say they can't find some random hallway to make sure their cars survived the trip."
