Re: Physics Lab B/C

Does anybody have a better idea on what to study at this point? We had our regionals not even a week ago and the test was pretty good. It did have a few thermodynamic questions, and a LOT of general Physics questions. Very little on actual alternative energy, though. Thankfully there were no random ...

Re: Ecology B/C

We just had our regionals and the ecology test was weirrrd. Isn't the focus supposed to be placed on biomes in North America? There was far too much on it about the Savannah.

Re: New York 2010

Woah, thats a huge improvement from last year. The top three teams are under 200 pts. (yay hicksville!) Does anybody have a copy of the final results sheet with all the events on it? They haven't posted it on the newyorkscioly site yet.

Re: Remote Sensing C

Does anybody know what specfic details might be questionsed in regard to forests? Besides the obvious deforestation and desertifications. Like, could they possibly question us on the chnage in CO2 levels in a forest over a period of time. Anything more like that?

Re: Ecology B/C

Hey we're finally going to have our regional competition after a long postponement. Our only worry at this point is regarding our cheat sheet. Anyone have any advice for specifics on biomes that may be important. We feel like we have the general idea down, but is there anything you've seen thus far ...

Re: Physics Lab B/C

Are you guys attaching the blades themselves to the CD or are you creating a sort of hub to attach to your CD that will hold the blades?

Re: Physics Lab B/C

Hey guys, I'm actually really excited for this event. Materials-wise what is the general consensus? We haven't actually started building our designs yet but we're thinking balsa wood would work the best. Also my only other concern is the actual Physics aspect of the exam. As far as I can see the exa...

Re: Remote Sensing

So, my partner and I have taken some practice tests and all. The thing is with the "cheat sheet" what kind of information are you guys adding to it? And I'm assuming your all typing it, front and back right? I just don't know what to expect on the State test, because I've taken a test that's complet...
