It's written for about 5th/6th-grade level, but it has TONS of helpful info. http://www.montclair.edu/Det...

Re: Picture...This!

At our regionals I drew two circles connected with a line to symbolize "bond" and then drew a salt shaker for sodium chloride, to lead to "ionic bond" overall. The supervisor, however, didn't allow it. Does this follow the rules? Again, it really depends on your judges. Personally, I'd let that pas...

Re: Astronomy

It's probably a good idea to check out the scioly.org Astronomy wiki (look under "Board Index"). It's also a good idea to look up and take notes on each of the topics on the rules sheet (since you're allowed to take either a binder or laptop, put your notes on there). Good luck!

Re: Astronomy

At my state test last year, which used a quite weird cartoon theme, said that Cruella de ville found this spot pattern on a dalmation and noted that it looked like a constellation, she also recognized [one of the DSOs]. What constellation was it. They also asked it in reverse, giving us the constel...

That's cool. Haha yeah usually my partner and I are both OCD about letting the other person do it alone, so we work together.
