Ergotism is a disease that affects animals, yet it is under plant diseases. Do you think we are supposed to know the treatment and prevention for ergotism or for ergot (the one that affects plants)?

I'm a little confused on what "Causes and effects of microbial population explosions" means. I know factors that can increase/decrease microbial growth, but what exactly is the cause or effect of an "explosion"?

Does the upper respiratory tract consists of just the nasal cavity and pharynx, or the nasal cavity, pharynx, and larynx? I know the lower one consists of the trachea, bronchi, lung, alveoli, etc. I've never seen this on a test, but I'd like to be sure anyway.

For "Regulation of the Respiratory System", will we need to know the Alveolar ventilation - Arterial pCO2 Relationship and Henderson-Hasselbalch Equations?

Also, I'm assuming it's referring to the regulation of blood pH and breathing?

For all those who took the PA states B division microbe test, did anyone have time issues with it? By the end of the test I had to rush to finish all the knowledge base questions, and my partner had difficulty finishing the microscope stuff.
