Well yesterday was such an amazing day. Our team came in 8th in only it's second year and I couldn't be prouder as it's founder. Congrats to Acton-Boxboro and Newton North for such great showings. Congrats to all who were there, it was a fun time

Is anyone else annoyed that helicopters and mousetrap vehicle aren't going to be events this year, but circuit lab is? My team was so excited for those two events D:

Would a dulcimer be considered percussion? It uses strings, but it's hit with hammers.

Yep, haha. They kept aqueous solutions and added redox.
I'm gonna have to brush up on my redox labs. Didn't do too many in AP Chem last year because we were rushing towards the end.

We used a water bottle and a CD and got 19th (our blade assembly was a quarter of an inch too big D:, but it got a least a full volt)

I know there really isn't a definitive answer to this question and it's probably been answered a million times, but what is the extent to which we should know certain things? I mean for example, the contraction of muscles. Is it enough to know that the myosin pulls on the actin? Or should we know do...
