Get the wikipedia articles on all the different alternative energy types. (Wind, solar, OTEC, etc.) and print off the scioly wiki ...

Having your blade bend backward a little bit due to the fan is not a major problem, as long as it doesn't break, hit the setup, or make your design fail. As far as bending forward due to wind, I don't think that would happen, but you can have your blades tilted or designed so they stick out forward ...
