Re: Your Daily Random Comment
Can anyone recommend a good laptop for college students? Honestly, it depends a lot on what you want in a laptop -- power, battery life, ease of carrying around all day, etc... Based on my personal experience: Definitely check out if there are any sales. I bought my college laptop (Lenovo Y series....

Re: Astronomy C
Scored 71-74 depending on credit for ambiguous answers. This test was significantly harder than MIT. Not every invite has to be impossible, you know :P (Honestly, I think Tad/Donna do a much better job of difficulty than I do.) How does #73 work? I came up with all sorts of nonsensical answers but ...

I also wrote this test! (syo also helped with this one.)
I think I made it a bit too difficult for a Regionals... again. Sorry.

Perhaps not amazingly useful this late in the season, since it's written to be Regionals-level, but in my opinion it is a pretty decent test.

Re: Hypothetical idea
Not sure. I suspect someone would end up reporting it to MIT SO. With watermarks it's easy of course. Without - it's still not too hard to trace the IP address. It'd be a bold move, to be sure. I almost want to see it tried. Honestly, I think it'd be funny to see someone so determined to try and do...

Re: University of Michigan SciOly Invitational!!!
With all that said, I never want to help run a tourny ever again T_T. Amen to that. I just can't do the 6 AM to 10 PM tournament day (especially the 6 AM part...) Though, yesterday went pretty non-catastrophically, all things considered. Distribution was pretty good on my Forensics test, though the...

Re: Mis Graded event tests
Supervisors know this and (should always) try to make the tests as easy to grade as possible - think multiple choice over short answers, etc. Hahaha no. Admittedly, multiple choice is the fastest to grade, but as a testwriter it's absolutely terrible. Not only do I have to come up with (N-1) wrong ...
