Re: Ohio 2013
So how was the Solon (Div C) tournament? I heard the awards were really cool, but had a few glitches. As a whole, everything went really well as far as I could see. Fermi and Disease were both run in an auditorium-style area at the same time, which was utter chaos at the start, but the people runni...

Re: Where are you going for colleges?
And French_Toast, though GPA is important, there's no GPA cutoff. Most good schools have a holistic review of applications, meaning that they don't have a GPA or SAT or whatever cutoff - they'll read your application and evaluate you as a whole. :) Good luck! I am aware of that, I still plan on put...

As for anatomy systems, nervous will be in, and I'm not sure if it'll be digestive like the pattern says it should, or if they'll screw with it.

Re: Where are you going for colleges?
People who are familiar with CA, anyone have recommendations for schools to look into besides the obvious(Stanford, USC, UCLA, UC Berkeley). I've been thinking I wanna go to school out west, but I've hovered around a 3.3-3.4 GPA, so I probably won't get into the top schools.

Re: Science Olympiad 2012
Although it doesn't seem to really define the event, does anyone know next year's emphasis for Disease Detectives (like this year's of food borne illness?) I think we have one more year of foodborne illnesses, but I'm not 100% sure on that. This is it's second year on that topic, don't know if it's...

Re: Most competitive state
Ohio C will be interesting this year. Solon should win it all unless they really slack off, but Centerville, Mentor, and Chardon were all on pretty much the same level at regionals/WLS invitational time. Can't wait to see how that plays out.

Re: Events You Wish Science Olympiad Had
I've been wanting a genetics event since I was in Bio Process Lab freshman year and I had to cover that part of the event, but I'll be getting that next year, so I'm pretty happy.
