I was looking at the floor plan of the dorms at Nats this year and they don't look too bad at all
and yeah we stayed at Sellery - still better than illinois...
as far as the experience- alot of our stories do come from staying in the dorms...

every. year. >.< bc its cheaper, and it "builds character" and ... i don't know, but we ALWAYS stay in the dorms. Wisconsin dorms weren't too terrible, but I couldn't stand illinois.... hopefully Florida is better.

Nicknames?? of course!!! I think that's standard anywhere you go. There's Sid, that some of us call "squid", we have 3 Andys so they all have nicknames, we have a kid named Yash that we call Yoshi or YasinBoka (long story), guille, eddieG, bigA ... just to name a few... and if someone does...

I THOUGHT that pines would be the hardests to identify, but the TEXAS pines actually aren't that hard.
at greenhill they used the national list instead of the state list...

Interesting viewpoint.... here's some fun data for you - going back for the past 5 years the placements at Nationals of the Kansas teams: Div C: 35, 44, 47, 45, 33, 34, 41, 19, 34 Div B: 40, 37, 28, 39, 38, 30, 34, 35, 32, 46 ahhh.... so how competitive might it be really?? of course making it to N...

ah... i see. meh-- if it didn't count, it would be neat to go to other state tournaments just to get the feel of how competitive it really is. and every state has its own style of tournaments so thats pretty cool too. i know there are invites, but the intensity just isn't matched. :) well that stink...
