Re: Meteorology B
Thing is, C adds an event in the Chemistry/Physics fields, so Earth Science has to take a hit somewhere. Unless you take out one of those, Meteo really doesn't fit anywhere. Well then, I guess an earth science event should be removed. I WANT C DIVISION METEOROLOGY TODAY! :D I believe Meteorology in...

Re: Meteorology B
My partner and I finished 20 minutes early since we didn't know how long we had. We were only able to check half the test though, for some odd reason.
@tornadoguy Congratulations on your 5th place medal!
@silverheart7 I hope I can actually find the rules somewhere, though they may vary.

Re: Compute This B
The test was relatively easy; much easier than last year by far.
My partner and I finished with about a minute or two to spare. The data was easy to find; we found it a minute into the event. The questions took a much longer time, and we weren't sure if we found the exact answer for all of them.

Re: Reach for the Stars B
The test was mainly ID of stars, constellations, and DSO's. There were 4 short answer questions, one I clearly remember involving describing the evolution of a star similar to the sun.Cheesy Pie wrote:Congrats! What was the test like?

Re: Meteorology B
121 incredibly vague and diverse questions in 50 minutes? Heck yes. My goodness, the test had plenty of multiple choice questions. And there were 122 questions. The clock wasn't working in the room, and my partner and I didn't even know how long we had, so we finished really early, only to find out...

Re: Reach for the Stars B
Haha, I'm looking forward to competing against you all! Is there any real simple way of detecting which wavelength a picture is taken in (ie. visible, infrared, x-ray, etc.)? I know looking at pictures really helps, but if there is an easier way of identifying this, I would appreciate it if someone ...

Re: Reach for the Stars B
Is there any chance for this to be a planetarium at Nationals? I'm wondering whether to bring red flashlights. Well even though I am not going to nationals, I would guess yes. If you don't know already, the lights are actually meant for looking at your notes even in a powerpoint , not pointing to a...

Re: Compute This B
Has anyone found data on CDC that is cross referenced in two places or more but it's slightly different? I was looking around a few days ago and I found some data that was listed as 34.1 percent or something in one source but 34.2 in another. Do you think this could happen at nationals? if it's for...
