You mean water? The statement itself is actually incorrect because nomenclature labels beyond the single units are not used for hydrogen, so it would just be "hydrogen monoxide"

Re: Ecology B/C

JMD and Reed seriously, I suggest you both look on the websites that the OFFICIAL website gives you, it really comes in handy. Also when planning your notesheet you really have to think about what pictures(if you do put them on). I mean at States when they asked for the Nitrogen Cycle we had the SA...

Lol, I actually memorized 273 digits of pi during my freshman year for a class contest and the prize was... I got eight points on my math grade! So yeah, I guess I am a pretty big nerd.

Re: Larger Avatars

I had a great raptor picture to use for an avatar, but it got too small and became mush. Was it a picture of raptor Jesus? Yeah, but same here, I had a gif of a moving bucky ball (buckminsterfullerene) that I wanted to use, then I just switched to one image instead of an animation, and then I lower...

Re: Chem Lab C

according to the ever sacred rules, it just seems that you must be proficient in Aqueous solutions and Redox. each accounts for 50% of the score. also, students MUST wear long sleeve shirts Was that always a rule in the past? Oh, do we have to know about autoionization too?? Maybe for general chemi...

Re: Dynamic Planet B/C

basically just wikipedia every topic they have listed on the event sheet that they might test you on and really memorize everything it says. earth science textbooks (at least in new york) dont really cover the topic of freshwater bodies very in depth, so its a good start but not if you want to meda...

Re: Ecology B/C

Tundra and taiga, eh? Should be interesting... Also my first time doing this event, though I have the rules, so that should help. ahh, okay. is it ever specified in the rules how much one needs to know about them? According to the rules manuals, no exact species is mentioned, but (for Division C) on...

Re: Chem Lab C

But do we need to know equivalents and normality? Or just molality and molarity? The rules didn't mention either of them in particular, but it did say that "conversions between concentration units may be required for state and national levels." So I guess it would be a good idea to know the basic c...

Re: Chem Lab C

This is actually my first year doing Scio, but I've done some intense Chem studying over the summer, so I though doing Chem Lab as one of my events would be well-fitted, but would anyone recommend the reference and training resources recommended by the rules manual (e.g. the CD Rev), sorry I'm not e...

Re: Larger Avatars

Hi I'm a new member and this is my first post. But as I was choosing an avatar, I noticed the avatar size was drastically smaller than most forums I've been on. Originally I wanted to use a GIF animation, but I found that impossible, so I found a nice picture of a hedgehog, because I like hedgehogs ...
