Re: Chess

I was in my school's chess club just for a couple months. I guess I didn't really like it all that much. Or maybe I'm just no good at it haha.

Science Fair

I didn't see a topic on this, so... Is anyone here serious/competitive with science fair? I personally hate doing it. Love olympiad, hate the fair. I have to have a topic ready by Wednesday, but my mind's a blank right now. Our teacher brought us to the school library and sent us to the scifair book...

Re: Designs and Kits

I've never done Wright Stuff before, but looking back on some older information about building planes, I see that the Wright Stuff planes all have detachable wings. Is this even feasible or beneficiary with a helicopter?

Nice Job! You should try 1/8 inch rubber it could increase your flight time by alot.
I don't think I can order any more rubber though. That stuff costs money.

Re: Blocks Task

So just to confirm we are allowed to have string in between the blocks so long as each block supports the blocks above it? Et voila! Clarification: Q: Can the blocks be suspended by strings in a string-block-string-block chain where the top string is cut/released and once stacked there is still str...

Yeah, 1/4×1/16 broke. Would 1/8×3/16 be stripped from a 1/8 sheet? Or is it okay to layer two 1/16 strips together?

Re: Rotors

Stripping from a 1/16" sheet, I've managed separate blades below .5g each with 1/16×1/16 sticks. Speaking of balsa sizes, I'm also trying to see how 1/16×1/4 holds up for a motor stick.

Re: Worst books

Now that I have that out, I'd like add to the list and say that the worst book, IMHO, was Moby-Dick. Perhaps my reading level was "too low to understand it", but I don't think even Herman Melville understood what he was writing. "And then the crew found the white whale, and we'll get to that story,...
