Taxonomy is going to hurt. Only recently did I realize that Spirocheates and Spirilum were different taxa.

Kind of late, but I need 3 things clarified: Have archea ever been known to be pathogenic? What distinguishes algal protists from plantae? Does alcohol kill all prokaryota? Amazing how we can call up entire genomes or protein maps with a few keystrokes, yet no website can really explain the above is...

Kind of late, but I want some clarification on what "being tested on" means in terms of the microbial diseases list: Now it's obvious we should know what type of pathogen causes a particular ailment, but what else?
