Re: Pennsylvania 2017
Wow, they beat the 50 we put up my senior year (with eerily similar medal counts). Well done Harriton!

Re: What Is a Good Number of Events?
I think it depends a lot on what year you are in school, and what events you have past experience with. Like as a senior, it makes more sense that you'd be up in the 4-6 event range, while when you're a sophomore you might only be doing 2-3. You have more experience with events and with difficult ma...

Re: How Hard is it to Win Nationals???
It's certainly not easy to win an event at nationals, but it's also not impossible. It takes a lot of preparation and good circumstances on the day of. Here's basically what you need to do. All anecdotes are real. This advice applies to all competition prep, but nationals in particular. 1) You need ...

Re: Unofficial Rankings C
Well, doing it based on last year's results solely, we see that Harriton HS placed the most (I think in all actually) of the the build events. :P But a lot of their seniors left and many of them have changed. One of their seniors who won most of the builds left, so I'm not sure if they will do as a...

Re: Pennsylvania 2014
Now, I know that many people are surprised by Conestoga's win over Harriton today, but I would just like to point out that Penncreast beat Harriton 3 years ago at regionals. So, it is not completely unheard of. However, that year, (2011) Harriton beat out Penncreast at states. So, this year's state...

Re: Pennsylvania 2014
Yep, NW Lehigh was sixth. I'm excited to see the full rankings. I also really want to see the full rankings for the Fermi trial, haha. Funny story, only about half of those fermi tests were fully graded. I was grading all the questions, then realized that I only needed to find the winner not the ra...

@jdog: where did you get those propellers? like no one sells them gws propellers glued together, so it's a 6 bladed prop. Jdogg, why did you choose to make your rear prop so small? Space concerns (needed to use as much space as possible for weight), and trying to generate more thrust in the area cl...

Re: Pennsylvania 2013
Congrats to Penncrest, Shady Side and Strath Haven! It's been an incredible 7 years of this... from Welsh Valley to Harriton... I have no idea what I'm going to do with my life now, but this ended (nearly) as perfectly as it could have. This is the first nationals that I've cried out of happiness in...
