Re: Texas 2016
So proud of my team for bringing home third place this past weekend. It feels weird to change my status to "grad" but today was our last scioly meeting of the year. Thanks to all the competitors across Texas for helping make my experience so enriching. I'm also proud of Beckendorff JH and ...

Re: Texas 2016
We (Seven Lakes) went to UT Austin Regionals yesterday which was really well run. The results for Division B and C are as follows. Division C 1. Seven Lakes A (46) 2. Clements A (54) 3. Seven Lakes B (79) 4. Clements B (101) 5. St. Andrews (112) Division B (by school bc I don't have the awards sheet...

Re: MIT Invite
Maybe it's because I'm older, but it's really not surprising to me to see Seven Lakes beat Clements. Frankly, I'm more impressed that Clements was so close to Seven Lakes at a high-level invite like this, which LASA and Seven Lakes always tend to do well at. Unome is from Chattahoochee, and it's al...

Re: MIT Invite
I wouldn't necessarily say that Clements destroyed us (Seven Lakes) at CyFalls since their "A" team got first with 142, Seven Lakes "A" got second with 191, Seven Lakes "B" got third with 232, and Clements "B" got 7th with 378 points. Clements has probably bee...

Re: Texas 2016
Good luck to everyone competing tomorrow, especially Boca Raton and Rustin for coming all the way down to Texas!

Re: Disease Detectives B/C
In Disease Detectives this year, I noticed that the test I took at Nats was significantly different from the one I took at any other competition (invites, state, regionals). It required much more critical thinking and problem solving skills than just memorization of vocab words and RR/OR formulas. ...

Re: Events 2015-2016?
@Chalker
This question was already asked but you probably didn't see it since a lot of people were posting at that time/you may not know since it isn't part of your committee. But, do you know if the Invasive Species list is likely to change majorly from when it was a trial event in 2013?
