Re: Ohio 2020

It will be interesting to see what happens with Invitational attendance...some years it seemed like there were no or maybe one conflict...this year in Division B there are 3 with Northmont/Kenston, Centerville/Southview, and Mentor/New Albany.

Last Invite Before a Regional

Interested in people's thoughts on this...we are either doing 3 invites or 4...if we do 4 the 4th would be the Saturday before our Regional...is it more valuable to have that extra invite or to have that Saturday before as a work day?

Re: Roller Coaster B

I think the point was to introduce risk...if it were just a straight surface and the ball didn't make it; no big deal, it would continue on the track. If there were an actual gap, and the ball didn't make it, it would probably lead to a failed run.

Re: Score Discussion

Just curious to know what the best official scores have been at state competitions. The two Michigan teams that are going to Nats placed 1st and 2nd in BB at States. 3rd place in Ohio was around -17. 2nd place appeared to be right on with accuracy, with time in the 3-4 range, and with a can bonus o...

Re: Ohio 2019

So the word on the street is that the division B anatomy test had very little if anything to do with the content in the rules manual. And if you look at the scores, Anatomy was the worst or second worst event for several of the top teams including Solon, Kenston, Chardon, Tower Heights, Magsig etc....

Re: Ohio 2019

Are there individual ones for each B division event? Particularly build events with scores/times?
I don't think Ohio has ever released raw scores for the State tournament.

Re: Science Olympiad Events 2019-2020

Will water quality have only two years of rotation or three? I noticed that water quality was in the years 2012, 2013, 2014, and I was wondering why saltwater was the next topic, because 2012 and 2013 both covered freshwater. I am assuming that the year of 2014 covered saltwater. This rotation has ...

Re: Vehicle Thickness

How do you get it less than 20cm. Do you use wingnut to stop, because I do, and that is the narrowest I can get it with having enough room for the wing nut to reach 12 meters distance. I used wingnut and counting revolutions. Do you have any other ideas of how to brake. Also, is there electric vehi...
