Re: MagLev C

Excuse me, I misunderstood the question...then, I would assume that you be allowed to do this, but as joeyjoejoe said, there wouldn't really be any benefit, so far as i can see. You can't have any part of the vehicle on the outside of the track that external magnets would react with, so...

Re: Mission Possible C

Yeah, I should be getting something similar: 20x20x30, perfect sort & time, all transfers but 1 EMS...the trick & challenge is going to be making it reliable.

Re: MagLev C

Any rules about having magnets on the outside of the track in addition to the inside?
Actually, I would be careful about doing this - the rules say that you can only let propellers and their casing extend outside the rails, so putting magnets on the outside would probably be a violation.

Re: Mission Possible C

First, a reminder this isn't the place for official clarifications or statements.... Re: Mission Possible C

Thank you for your input Uncle Fester, I would have to agree with everything you said. For the rules not saying to or from I used line 4b to argue that the left column was being counted because they mention that " An Energy Transfer can receive points when it directly transfers from one Basic Energ...

Re: Mission Possible C

Inverse transfers, I love 'em! Legal. Nothing in the rules says everything has to be "turned on to transfer." Think about it-- ENTROPY is your friend. Stop things. Block things. Cool things. (Just don't have any motors running beforehand). It's easier, trust me. Uncle Fester, the Undead State Event...

Re: Mission Possible C

Do you guys think that (mechanically) turning on a sealed flashlight should count as mech -> EMS because of the black box rule? how about a store-bought solar car being powered by light being counted as EMS -> mech?
