Can you use hot glue and masking tape to build the Keep the heat box? I am not sure if the hot glue counts as plastic and the tape seems to be paper backed. Also, how do they measure the dimensions? I have three rulers which are all somehow off from one another on the centimeters. Not sure which is ...

I still have not figured out where the rules are posted on the soinc site. Am I just not clicking the right place? After the effect of the near force 6-7 winds on the launch last year, the 1 liter bottle sounds appealing. Does anyone know how to get the rules for this year and how to build or modify...

Do the rockets need a guide tube? I can not tell from the rules sheet I got. I can still add one to rocket number five and six (the others were destroyed spectacularly)

Today I am making the laser practice field with a inexpensive ebay laser and a mirror. Any advice on practice and also on how to cram for the optics test in one week???

Any ideas out there on how much does the rocket need to weigh? By drastic reduction, my rocket weight is down to ~200 grams now (without the water) but first flight was 7 seconds at 60 psi. Also, what is the launcher like at the competition? So far mine leaks at 60 psi due to the homemade nature of ...

Any advice for a newcomer? Only just found out about getting to go to the competition, which is in three weeks. Finished building the launch pad today with home-made bottle stopper and it finally works! Teammate bowed out so I am working solo on rocket designs.
