Re: New York 2013

Of course, it's not actually possible to schedule for states since the schedule has different conflicts for different team numbers and team numbers aren't published yet. I bet OH, MI, PA, CA, etc. have figured out a better way!

Re: New York 2013

Totally agree, the competition ramps up every year. Stuff we built a few years ago we look at now and can't believe we ever took it to a competition! That Gelinas third place was a phenomenal achievement; competition at nats is so tough that to do that consistently year after year is unlikely for mo...

Oxygen I think it is sodium but the answer says carbon.. Carbon is the correct answer to the question as phrased, but I have a huge problem w...

According to this site, yes, it is Texas: http://www.texascenter.org/almanac/QUALITYCH2P7.HTML That's probably exactly the link someone used to put that question on a test. Wish people would be more careful, though. The quote at that link is: "all nine major aquifers and 20 minor aquifers have expe...

I hope when you "throw away" your sand and gravel you put it outside, not in the garbage. Lousy karma if you put rocks in the garbage.....

Re: Where are you going for colleges?

Actually, if anyone is going to reply to cobra's post, please post publicly. I'm sure more than more than one person would like to know and this is partly the intent of this thread. I am also interested if anyone has something to say. RPI is certainly well respected in the northeast, though I had n...

Re: South California

"please don't ask my school to host one because well frankly, my school has enough going on" and "it (sic) too much of a hassle to travel to another state" I have to say it's really hard to sympathize with your position. This is an almost-all-volunteer army, and you're whining. I ran into a CT schoo...
