Re: Circuit Lab B/C
From the discussion on discord, azboy1910 is correct, though if you want to verify this in lab you'll need to either make sure your multimeter can measure low currents (less than 100uA for a good reading), or measure voltage across the resistors and compute the currents using ohm's law. Good job! Yo...

It doesn't have the North Lake regional either.

Re: Gravity Vehicle Design (Event)
Odds are you'll come up with plenty of references while doing background research. It looks like they just want you to include the references in your document like you would a research paper or journal article.

Re: Braking
Some sort of light oil will help friction, and while threads do have different 'fits', going a size up won't help much. If it's too tight you could run a tap through the wingnut a few times and probably get it to fit a little more loose. If you go plastic you can 'break in' the wingnut by running it...

Re: Codebusters C
Thanks for all the insight guys, I appreciate it. I agree that the rules place fewer restrictions on the aristocrat style ciphers, and I like the point that they could be more creatively asked. Maybe next time we can get a ruleset that opens the floor to math related cipher questions that y'all don'...

Re: Codebusters C
The distinction to me is that with the aristocrat style ciphers, you can get better with practice, but there's not a large amount of study that could be done to get better. With mathematic style ciphers, you're right, it's less practice (more study), but I would argue that if all you see is the same...

Re: Codebusters C
Looking for opinions here, I'm curious what everyone else thinks of the rules. I've always wished they'd lean more towards the cryptography/math intensive problems and shy away from the monoalphabetic tasks (I see them as more repetitive, less thought provoking). Each year so far the rules have move...
