Re: Robot Arm C

PA had two perfect scores with all four dice facing up with 6's. One finished at 2:20 something and the other was 2:57. First was manual while second was autonomous. The playing field was a little weird as the egg cartons were Styrofoam and the diagram on the floor was covered with a sheet of plast...

Re: Pennsylvania 2014

My teammate also mentioned that they started handing out the building materials after they had started the timers. If the event was run the same way for all the teams and the times were started before the material was handed out for all teams. Then I don't see why that is bad. Everyone had the same...

Re: Pennsylvania 2014

Hey, do you happen to know why Scrambler wasn't included in the results? We're all super confused. Thanks!! It was turned in late, due to a few teams having to compete after 3. Hopefully it will be put into the scoresheet, tmr. Other than that, I would have no clue why Scrambler would not be includ...

Re: Pennsylvania 2014

I have the utmost respect for Penncrest. Whenever teams switch places due to scoring errors, it raises serious questions. I don't know if Penncrest got first or second, or what events they helped out with. But after being involved with running an event at states this year, things constantly are brou...

Re: Pennsylvania 2014

Hmcginny and I will try to make the meet up. We might be a tad late though, so instead if anyone wants to meet up in the morning before/during checkins (when their is no team registering). I would be glad to meet anyone at Ellis Hall (I'll post the room I'll be in that morning on here). If you get t...

Re: A national discussion:regional differences

I have heard that argument before. If it only hurts the must successful team or two it is a nonissue. That logic is fine if you don't believe in the competitive nature of the enterprise. if you do believe that it is a competition, then logic would suggest not handicapping the most successful teams....

Re: A national discussion:regional differences

This discussion comes up just about every year. To run every tournament the same way would be impossible. I would like to point out that some tournaments don't even run every event. Some tournaments have to work around the event logistics. I had to help run 2 events at my regional competition and it...

Re: Unofficial Rankings C

Well he could, but he's probably also kinda busy at Penn State. ;) I would expect them to be strong, but they probably won't match the same performance. Lol it has been quite a busy last month... Thanks for all the kind words. But I have to agree with hmcginny. I have faith in those that have taken...
