Hello all! I am looking for a "portable" replacement to a Bunsen burner for flame tests. Does anyone have any suggestions for something that I could buy for my team? We do not have access to a chemistry lab on a regular basis, and using matches/candles did not work well! Any advice is welc...

My little brother is in sixth grade and the B division. He did the events Fossils and Invasive Species all year long. He won states last year as a fifth grader in fossils, and won regionals this year in invasive species. He has worked since the summer on these two events - the only two events he has...

It is quite puzzling why the state of PA would not just follow the national schedule. Or, if they are following their own schedule, they should release it earlier so that students know that their events will conflict - and would therefore not study one of the events!
