Re: Your Daily Random Comment

AP Literature test tomorrow. I think I'm going to be sick... :(
Overly complex literature is completely headache inducing, while difficult chemistry/physics problems aren't for some reason.

Re: Your Daily Random Comment

The worst part about APs, I think, is definitely the essay density of the writing-oriented tests. The standard is about 3 full-length essays in 2 hours without a pause. After you already spent an hour or so on multiple choice. For this reason I am dreading APUSH and AP lang Comp. Chem, on the other...

Re: Chem Lab C

I'm going to try and get the test ready either today or tomorrow (most likely tomorrow). Answer explanations will come after it's uploaded, but it'll still be this week, so teams who are competing at States this Saturday will have access to it. Edit: It's finally done and uploaded. Answer explanatio...

Re: Chem Lab C

I'm going to upload an equilibrium practice test, with answer key and explanations, to the Test Exchange soon. It contains questions from USNCO (Chemistry Olympiad) exams, so they'll likely be more difficult than the actual tests for this event, but it's good practice nevertheless.

Re: Future Tournament Sites

During the awards ceremony at state today, I found out that the 2016 nats will supposedly be held at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Most probably have no idea where that is - it's in the northern part of the state, basically in the middle of nowhere. It's a decent place for states, but I don't k...

Re: Chemistry Olympiad

Well, after winning Chem Lab at state today, struggling through the ACS exam was definitely worth it. Otherwise, we would not have been able to answer the questions about the Born-Haber cycle and lattice energy, since they aren't covered much, if at all, in the AP Chem class at my school.

Re: Technical Problem Solving C

So, about that WI state TPS test... We were expecting a test on sound and enzyme kinetics. Instead, we got a test about orbits and gravity. The problems weren't that difficult, anyways. We were given formulas and just substituted numbers in to answer the questions. The main issue was that the test w...

Re: Forensics C

I will be uploading my powders flowchart to the wiki once the season is over. Everything there should be accurate, and it works with decent efficiency. Hopefully this will help some people out.

Re: Chemistry Olympiad

Just took the national exam today. Wow, that was pretty hard. I'm guesstimating around 53-54/60 for MC, 70/100 for FR and average for labs.
