This may sound dumb, but a 7.4 V hobby aircraft battery works right? We are buying it online and this type of battery is considered commercial, right? How are you doing the calculations. I have tried to download one and put in the numbers and it didn't work. I am using a cone shaped rocket. Do you need to figure in the shaping at the end near the nozzle. Can any one recommend a good simulation site? Any help would be appreciated. We used programs...

Just a tip we learned last year for making the maglev, put the magnets ABOVE whatever sheet material (balsa works fine) you are using as a base. Also be careful not to let the fan blades hit the side of the track, as last year our team was placed far behind due to the breaking of our good fan. :uge...
