Re: Can't Judge A Powder B

Hey, for those of you who went to Nationals, don't you think there was an unreasonable amount of questions about the containers and starting volumes on the test? We had to miss around 7 questions and fakesolve 2 or so more due to both not getting enough of these types of observations and completely ...

Re: Scioly Summer Study Session 2014

I was planning to write a boatload of tests this summer--however, half of my plans were for outgoing events. I noticed I could add a lot to the Heredity wiki, and write a bunch of tests for practically all of my 2013-2014 events. However, I will try to submit the ones for next year that I know about...

Re: How many scioly t-shirts do you have?

I have:
1 team shirt
1 commemorative team sweatshirt (2012 Nats) (soon to be 2, from 2014)
1 2012 Nats shirt
2 somehow identical 2014 Nats shirts except for color--I plan to give one away.

Re: Write It Do It B/C

Wow, you guys, at our Regional and States, we never get more than around 10-15 pieces. I guess that's why our team finds it hard to attack National models. As I blogged to myself: The reason I love National WIDI is because the models always exemplify everything I believe should be in a model. My fri...

Re: Metric Mastery B

The National event wasn't ridiculous, but I do hope they were being nice and consistent with the water too, making sure that it was re-calibrated/re-measured each period, and since they didn't have us go over the same objects (though identical, they weren't exactly the same), I hope they judged each...

Say what? Picture This is coming in for Metric Mastery? Anyone know how sure this is, because not only will I find this event super fun, my sister and I are psychic. Literally. We can say gibberish that even we know doesn't make grammatical sense, and we know what we mean :P

Re: Should SO exams reward preparation or critical thinking?

I'd reiterate. Depends on the event. Building events, obviously, are based on how much preparation has been done. Meanwhile, there are what I like to call the "practice events", in that they're not study events or building events, or even lab events, like Metric Mastery and WIDI. Those are...
