Re: Any siblings out there doing S.O. together?

Sadly, my sister isn't in middle school yet but next year she will be and will definitely be doing science o. Sadly-er, I'll be moving on to high school team so we won't be able to use our telepathy powers until I'm a senior and she's a freshman. We have been preparing for that moment for our entire...

Re: Hardest Science Olympiad Event, in your opinion?

Wow you guys would post to each other. ;) But I agree with the events like ornithology. There is just so much information to learn! However, they do allow a lot of material at the competition. I'd say Mission Possible for B, or Forestry? Events like Metric Mastery and WIDI require a lot of preparat...

Re: Scioly Assassination 100: Mafia Reborn

Hi guys! I just spent a few hours reading this whole thread when I should have been doing homework and it's REALLY gotten me interested. Please don't tell me its over! If anyone's still playing, I'd like to be a civilian if that's ok with everyone else.

Re: Proudest Moments

I was thinking more like a hunk of wood with wings, isaysroar. The wood we used was really thick for some reason and the rotors were puny. It sort of looked like a fat bug with tiny wings trying really hard to fly but ending up flopping on the floor. :D

Re: Proudest Moments

Last year, I was put on rocks and minerals a week before regionals due to a shortage of prepared team members. I took dead last. This obviously angered me so I studied EXTEMELY hard. My many hours of hard work paid off in the long run. Thanks to my coach, my current science teacher, and the encourag...

Re: Hardest Science Olympiad Event, in your opinion?

Well it all depends on which team you're in (B or C). Because building Helicopter isn't all that fun either. :| Oh hey helicopters partner! I'd have go agree with you that helicopters can get pretty frustrating but I'd say the hardest events are identifying events. For example rocks and miner...

Re: Rocks and Minerals Question Marathon

Chalcopyrite and the second is bornite. I could tell the difference because of the bit of golden color in the chalcopyrite and bornite is usually purple-ish with other colors mixed in. If u meant the difference in their composition, they have different ratios of iron, copper, and sulfur.
