Have you guys ever used anything other than linear regression in an experiment? Do you think it'd be worth it to know quadratic, logarithmic, and/or sinusoidal regressions? And if a quadratic curve does fit the data better, should it still be sketched on the graph as a "line (or curve) of best fit"?

The topic is Environmental Quality, right? Does anyone know of any good books, websites, or other resources for this year? Honestly, everything on the soinc page is really excellent. Go through everything there and you will be golden. No, not really. They haven't updated the page with 2013 info yet.

I was hoping they'd have something like UW-Madison put together last year (http://nso.wisc.edu/photo_archive.php#awards) but alas, it doesn't look like that will be the case. I'm sure this has been asked numerous times - is there a specific reason why raw scores are not posted after a national tournament? It would be nice for someone who placed a few spots away from top 6 or top 10 to see how close they were.
