Re: Green Generation B/C

Are the indicator species listed on the event parameters similar to the ones in Water Quality? Where should we go to study these? Thanks :D I think it's a good idea to study the Water Quality indicator species from the past few years, because it's a likely source proctors will go to on the aquatic ...

Re: Can't Judge a Powder

I don't know how to find the density of a powder. Can anyone help me? (This post was moved to the Can't Judge a Powder event forum - Mod) If they give you a balance and a graduated cylinder, then you can find it. This explains it nicely: http://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/askasci/chem03/chem03532.htm It...

Re: Can't Judge A Powder B

Hey, for those of you who went to Nationals, don't you think there was an unreasonable amount of questions about the containers and starting volumes on the test? We had to miss around 7 questions and fakesolve 2 or so more due to both not getting enough of these types of observations and completely...

Circumstantial evidence is a piece of evidence that points a finger towards someone or a group of people, but does not prove anyone's guilt, while inconclusive evidence is evidence that does not even incriminate anyone. For example, a janitor's fingerprint on a door handle of a school after hours i...

Re: Water Quality B/C

I don't know about the C test, but our B team (HeavyHitter406) thought that the test was not enough of a challenge and I feel that when tests are easy, then rankings are determined too much by tiebreakers. I definitely felt the same of the division b test. The test was really easy, except for some ...

Well, I think we had some fun destroying all these predictions. ;)

But yeah, definitely some very surprising results. Scores were close, and it pretty much came down to how bad the worst events were.

Re: Can't Judge A Powder B

Has anyone worked on talc powder? I'm looking for information about the chemical properties of talc. I didn't find anything on the internet and it doesn't seem to react with anything. Thanks!! My partner and I worked with talc a few weeks ago and it didn't react with anything, if I remember right. ...
