Re: Scrambler B
Okay thanks. I never heard about the spring being part of the mass before. Yeah I guess the spring is rising but the rules say any part that decreases in gravitational potential energy is part of mass so wouldn't the spring technically be increasing in that? Yeah this is rather interesting. I'm not...

Re: Scrambler B

Re: Scrambler B
Help on the release: I'm using a pulley launcher and the lower pulley is parallel to the car, but how do I get the string/rope to easily release? I'm using nylon cord and eyehooks btw and I have several feet of dowel I feel like using For us we had a screw protruding a few millimeters upwards from ...

Re: Batteries
Hey are we allowed to use Lithium Ion or Non-Alkaline Batteries?? Yes, Buuuuuttt... Not quite. The voltage Limit for battery packs is 7.2 and, unfortunately, LiPo batteries consist of 3.7 volt cells, so a 2 cell LiPo battery is not allowed, and a 3.7 volt is impractical. LiFe are also impractical (...

Yeah, only a center point on the starting and ending lines...so it would make sense to make it go straightBazinga+ wrote:There is no center tape. like from the top of the launcher to the bottom but diagonally Well, that shouldn't necessarily be any particular distance, it varies from launcher to launcher. Just make sure it is taught when the whole set up is in the ready to launch position. 90 cm does seem close to what mine was, though. thom...

Re: Scrambler B
Does the diagonal have to be 90 cm? Which diagonal are you referring to? The string diagonal if you get rid of one of your pulleys so you only have 2? like from the top of the launcher to the bottom but diagonally Well, that shouldn't necessarily be any particular distance, it varies from launcher ...
