Re: New York 2015
Yeah, the region normally does send two teams. I wouldn't be surprised if the director and whoever he was working with got confused and thought that it was supposed to be two teams when it was really supposed to be three because Vestal got first again. It's hard to tell. I looked at the regional fo...

Re: Events 2015-2016?
I'm surprised that anyone gave Game On positive feedback. I personally thought it was an awful event in both times that I competed in it. It might have been because I was woefully unprepared, but even so, it's really hard to come up with a fully functional game with detail and all of the written req...

Re: New York 2015
Wow. ME not going to States? I feel like that is a first. Anybody have Capital District results? Indeed, 1988 was the last time or so (based on the results history from the old site) since I think they may not have competed then (unsure). I'm quite surprised, and I also thought the region normally ...

Re: New York 2015
I'd just like to say that the way they did the awards ceremony at the Southern Tier regional was absolutely awful. There were medals for 3rd place and down, and they had the 4th place team up as well for an honorable mention. The problem was that they'd call the 3rd place team and then wait for them...

Re: Green Generation B/C
What do people know about survivorship curves? I get the three types, but the Cornell invitational had us fill out a table with some information on it and then use it to graph, and I had no idea where to begin.

Re: New York 2015
Great for scores posted for Southern Tier. Odd that they don't generally post the grid. Why they don't usually? Is there something different about how they run Regionals? Yep, this was somewhat questioned last year. I think casey and blockhead (another user) were annoyed with the people in charge o...

Re: New York 2015
The Southern Tier regional has 15 teams competing this year, so they'll be sending three to states as last year. Historically they haven't posted any form of stats, and while that may not change, I will probably post the scores and medal count of each team that competes. The competition is this Satu...

Re: Cornell Invitational 2015
It means that I like the name... a lot of people would consider calling a school in NY "Mexico" strange or funny, but I legitimately like that :) It's the name of the town, so naturally that would be their high school's name. It's interesting, though. A lot of towns in upstate New York ar...
