So my Car is coming in at 490 grams. Hows that compare? Also what size threaded rod are other people using? Im using 1/4 28. Tried 8-32 but it was too flimsy

I thought time was always measured as to get from .2 to 8.2 meters so time was independent of the set distance?

If you keep the pencil and pin inside of an imaginary 1x1x.75 box. The event supervisor for nationals (brother nigel i want to say his name was) told me that your entire release needs to remain in that imaginary box. So i would suggest just dropping the pin off of your pencil as soon as you release.

So spring launchers are legal right? I just built one that works quite well but my partner is concerned that the conversion of energy makes it illegal. I also have yet to see one at a competition.
