Re: Texas 2015

Oh, I will say I was MASSIVELY disappointed that you didn't actually blow my teammate's hand off.

Well it's not like I didn't deserve it.

Re: Texas 2015

I was in Green Gen, Mission Possible, Dynamic Planet, and Experimental Design. I thought the prompt for Experimental design was a little weird considering the materials given to us, and Dynamic Planet was horribly written. Green Generation was fun, albeit a little easy. Mission Possible was the best...

Re: Water Quality B/C

I guess I need new sharpies then, mine have been horribly inconsistent about whether or not they feel like marking the straw. Thanks anyway!

Re: Water Quality B/C

Hey, this is kind of a dumb question, but what do you guys use to mark your salinometers? Everything I've tried just rubs off.

Re: Texas 2013

I don't know why all you CyWoods people are placing yourself so high. Because if you look at past invitational rankings CyFall, Kingwood, Clements, and Katy has ranked better than you in more invitationals. Also Austin Area Homeschoolers and Westwood are pretty good too. So I am not trying to sound...

Re: Texas 2013

Thanks! This is actually our second year as a team, last time we got first in Regionals and 7th(?) in State. It was pretty awesome, especially because I was drafted into the team a few weeks before state and had no clue what I was doing. EDIT: it appears we got 20th. My memory gives us too much cred...

And fifth: Austin Area Homeschoolers. So close, yet so far.

Good job to everyone who was competing, it was a lot of fun.

Re: Predict what the person below you will be like

It depends on the day. We did have 90 degrees throughout most of November though.

TPBM has a Science Olympiad rivalry with someone from a different school than they're in.

Re: Science Olympiad Quotes

"A crossbow is the tool of a scientist." "Remember, if all else fails, just eat the balsa wood." "The teddy bear's name is Benedict, and he's our new mascot!" "Does anybody here now how to science?" Teammate 1: We didn't study for this event, so we're just going to make teammate 2 have an emotional ...

Re: Science Olympiad Stories

This story is actually pretty recent, as I'm kinda new to Science Olympiad. About 6 hours before we have to leave for an invitational, I get a call from my gravity vehicle partner. He says that after rereading the rules, he realized we were REALLY far out of spec. 45 minutes later, I'm at his house ...
