Re: I accidentally killed a CA bottle

I recommend investing in two containers of CRYSTAL LIGHT lemonade packets . These are excellent for storing either your CA bottles or Accelerator containers. The added benefit is they will minimize "flash' or pre-setting/curing of the CA. Next, using a block of pink insulation foam (thicker is ...

Re: Flight B/C

2) how do you compensate for AC while flying? Last year in NC states I watched a bunch of teams struggle to get 1 minute flights(AC was so strong) and they were all nosediving/stalling. advice? Not every location will allow a total shut-off of blowers many of which are handled out-of-state and not ...

Re: Flight B/C

Where in the room should you stand when releasing your flight? I've been standing in weird locations and it's caused my flight to hit the walls D: B) If the model has a consistent left hand orbit, then assume your launch is at the outside point of a radius of a circle. You will launch such that the...

Re: Flight B/C

Hello, My plane doesn't seem to turn left at all. It's as if it's fighting itself while airborne trying to decide which direction to turn. I've tried adjusting my tail and wings so all the settings possible could make it turn left, but it doesn't seem to fix the issue. Could anybody help me with th...

Re: Elastic Launched Glider B

Let's look at the trim and fix options when a glider has a severe tendency to roll on launch. To begin with, any glider should be symmetric before test flying begins. To orbit and not hit the walls it will eventually have some magnitude of asymmetry. Next, speed has a changing effect on the glider''...

Re: Flight Times

Two weeks ago one of the NW Indiana Regionals took place at IUNW. The gym's ceiling is about 30' high. The ELG event was won by Thomas Jefferson MS (TJMS) with 3 best flights of 24.00, 21.26 and 23.98. The second place team was less than 20 seconds for their three best flights. TJ is headed to the s...

Re: Stalling and Bad Stability

...and testing a few trims, some of them were very inconsistent. For those flights, right after I released it, the plane flew for 1 sec and just stalled and as it's angle of attack approached vertical. This prevented any lift from being generated, and the plane basically fell tail straight down. Wi...
