Re: Texas 2015

Not to get off topic, but I was wondering what schools are planning to go to Langham Creek vs Carrollton Christian vs Hendrickson for a January Invitational. We'd like to get the most practice we can. As for CyFalls, other than the slight hiccup with Fermi and a couple of other events, it was run qu...

Re: Texas 2015

Crud. I was really looking forward to it… I'll bet that puts the teams going to Nationals a somewhat of a disadvantage since they don't have the State competition to refine their designs.

Re: Texas 2015

Is there any way of knowing whether there will be a location to do Bungee Drop at State? If they're going to drop it again like last year, I'd rather focus on different events.

Re: Texas 2014

Were there any regionals other than UT that actually had all the events? I don't think so. I can't find the events that were offered at the Katy Regional though. On a side note, something seems to be off regarding the teams that made it to State through the UT Regional. Clements got 1st and 2nd pla...

Re: Texas 2014

I never seem to be able to predict these right... I have to hand it to Clements, though. I don't think many people thought they'd be hanging on to their State title this year with Seven Lakes on the prowl after last year.

Re: Experimental Design B/C

When you're calculating linear regression, do you use the giant formula with all the sums and squared's to find the slope of the regression line, or do you just draw in a line of best fit and estimate the slope based on values from the graph? the "giant formula" is standard deviation. (do...

Re: Experimental Design B/C

I'm thinking more about the example calculation you have to show.
