The general format is ID (around 30-50) and an additional question about the species.
Unfortunately, if you're in a very crowded regional like I was, they might just decide to give you an insect anatomy test. So be prepared for anything.

Re: Bungee Drop C
Yeah I was going to do a quadratic but I plotted them and it was pretty dang planar. I was able to derive the equation by taking the differential vectors of 2 points on the plane and calculating their cross product and substituting into the general equation of a plane. 6th place at regionals beating...

Re: Bungee Drop C
Yeah, I noticed those, but we have an all-elastic cord, and additionally it's pretty hard to surface fit a function, a quadratic model may or may not do the trick, it's a sort of warped planar thing. What I'm doing now is taking the normal vector to the surface at certain points around specs that we...

Re: Entomology B/C
This is Entomology's last year. The next two years are Herpetology followed by 2 years of Ornithology. For cheat sheets, it depends on how visual you want it to be. For me, I like to furiously flip through a field guide if I need a visual, and words work better, so mine is a two-sided mess of size 5...

Re: Bungee Drop C
This is my method for bungee: I don't know how math-oriented you all are but this is the method our team used to beat a Solon team last year at Regionals. You only need about 20 trials or so; the more the better. Take whatever cord you have and conduct separate trials on different lengths and masses...
