Re: Illinois 2013
Since my activity during the offseason is sporadic at best, I'll open this question now for the summer: does anyone else want a 'turn' to make the 2014 season topic? If not, I will gladly write another one updated for 2014 at the board turnover. If so, I will, also, gladly pass the torch on to the ...

I know the rules and requirements might be different in your state than mine.
They didn't make us bake in NorCal.

Daniel Wright (DW) beat Solon in all conventional metrics: Total Medals - DW: 14 vs Solon: 13 Gold Medals - DW: 6 vs Solon: 2 Gold/Silver/Bronze - DW: 9 vs Solon: 7 Top 10 Events - DW: 17 vs Solon: 16 However, Solon beat DW a mere 5 points in this category, which determined the final outcome: Points...

Re: Stories 2013
I don't have any particular stories, but meeting a few people from Scioly throughout the weekend was quite fun. I also met quite a few teams (Brookwood, Teeland, Bearden) at King's Island. SO sorta invaded the place. I would also say that I was very happy that my former middle and high school coach...

Re: Unofficial Rankings, Division B
Solon middle school usually requires each kid to carry 5 to 6 events. Are you talking about 9th graders? If so, I can tell you this is most certainly not true. Events are pretty balanced, in fact, to the point where almost every student has 2-4 events, including the 9th graders. Just wanted to clar...

Re: Unofficial Rankings, Division B
9th graders helping formal MS is perfect legal, as I already stated. It is a personal choice, some feel fine and others may not. Do not want to debate here.am just saying I heard top 4 schools only Solon used 9th graders and wondering if that is true for all 4 schools. Regardless, it was an excitin...

Re: Unofficial Rankings, Division B
Which team would won div. B champ yesterday had 9 graders not come back to their formal school? I think Daniel Wright. What is your answer? I heard top 4 schools yesterday only Solon used 9 graders (rules permit, of course). Is ithat true? BTW, congrat everyone at nationals. You all are winners! I ...

Re: Unofficial Rankings, Division B
Do you think it's fair to those 6-8 graders in the same team? Do you think those 9th graders should compete in Division C if they are really good? Why high school kids come back and compete with middle school kids? Medals? Yes, rule says Division B (Gr: 6-9). I've been relatively silent on this thr...
