Re: Pennsylvania 2015
It really was a great competition this year! Congrats to Springhouse and Shady Side for moving on to Nationals. Sadly this was my last year because my school has no division C team. But it's been a great run and competing with you all has been a pleasure. I hope however to see many of you at other ...

Re: Robo-Cross B
Just joined this Forum, here is what my son's group built. It's a scope with sweeping doors. It's pretty effective. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ns9rV1AgzPU . Love the omni wheels! Did the robot use a microcontroller like an arduino/raspberry pi or something like a radio receiver? Our design is ...

Re: Robo-Cross B
Hello everyone. Just want to hop in with what I've seen so far in the event. We can clear the board for full points in 2:15 at best possible, and at our regionals we were second to a team who cleared the board for full points in a minute and a half. At nationals, you will basically need to clear th...

Re: Wheeled Vehicle B
In the rules is states that the track will be accommodated for both left and right turning vehicles. However, it never states how far to a side the track will be. Would it be safe to assume that a track width of say 2 meters on either side of the can is reasonable?

Re: Wheeled Vehicle B
What degree of accuracy are you getting? I'm experiencing a distance error of +/- 1 inch and a horizontal error of +/- 3 inches. I can't seem to shake the horizontal though

The rules also say that no electronics can be usedScienceMaster wrote:In the rules, it says that "pre-loaded energy devices are allowed as long as they don't provide energy to propel the vehicle."
Does that mean that we can use a battery for the breaking mechanism and trigger?
