Re: Ohio 2016

I believe this is probably correct. Not sure if exact though.
...what were you trying to say?
rfscoach tried to mathematically prove that the other guy was wrong but he checked his math, realized an error, and retracted it without explanation within a few minutes.

Re: Robot Arm C

I would say that in most cases it would comply with the rules as they are written. The end effector could not have any part of it touch the "floor" . Time to break out the rules! I've been wondering about this one too. Here are all the relevant rules under 6. Competition: Wait a minute. There aren'...

Re: Ohio 2016

These ought to be correct, but I might be wrong.
Mentor 1 - 72
Chardon - 89
Solon 1 - 95
Solon 2 - 97
Mentor 2 - 98
I believe this is probably correct. Not sure if exact though.

Re: Game On C

Hi everyone, I figured my input would be useful to many here. Competed in the Case Regionals competition against some very strong teams yesterday (Solon, Mentor, etc.) and came out on top in Game on, 1st place. They were kind enough to give us back our game, so I hosted it on Scratch so it could hel...

Re: Robo-Cross B

Hello everyone. Just want to hop in with what I've seen so far in the event. We can clear the board for full points in 2:15 at best possible, and at our regionals we were second to a team who cleared the board for full points in a minute and a half. At nationals, you will basically need to clear the...

Granted, but you go to jail for murdering the other teams in your state.

Re: Robo-Cross B

I guess that every robocross boils down to a kit of some kind, whether it be in the form of the electronics or the frame. I just wish teams who slapped together two preexisting kits would have to put more time into it. If someone said that to me after seeing my Robot, I would laugh :D Now, I suppos...

Re: Robo-Cross B

Interesting idea, my concern would be that such an approach would start driving crazy expensive bots. Speed costs money! I was really impressed with one bot at the MI state tournament this year. VERY low cost approach, got a perfect score tied for second on time, went to third tiebreaker for weight...

Ohio State Competition
We took third with a score of about 1:46. Our best time in practice was 1:15, but we had some flub-ups.
