Re: Scores B/C

Here are the pictures of my two bridges for the NC state tournament the one pictured on the left would have placed 8th at Nationals with a score of 2455 (6.06g 14.88kg held). The one on the right was constructed before and in what was essentially the exact same manner as the one tested. I used all b...

Re: Scores B/C

4th Place National Bridge (post Nationals)- Boca Raton Community HS. The design had a test efficiency of almost 3000, but we scored 2633 at Nationals. Your design is the most similar I've seen to mine. I Would guess it's all balsa, and the range of density in your compression and tension members is...

Re: Scores B/C

7th place bridge at nationals (Lincoln Southwest High School, NE) It weighed 5.15 and held 12.65kg for a score of 2456, though our scores were usually around 2600-2700 with the design IMG_1133 (800x600).jpg Major kudos, I won my state tournament with a score of 2455.4 (albeit that was the heighest ...

Re: Unofficial Rankings: Div. B

Peidmont middle put down a 57 yesterday at the NC state tournament. They could make some serious moves.

My bets are 3 and 4 thousand for divisions C and B respectively. In or around that seems reasonable.

Re: Scores B/C

North Carolina C Division. 2455 6.06g 14.88kg Congrats on a wonderful score! And it broke right before 15kg, so you planned well! :) Thanks, never have I been so satisfied with my work. I also go first in duct-tape-challenge (technical problem solving for you guys) and another duct-tape oriented ev...

Re: Scores B/C

I load in the same manner, and it has worked fantastic. I've had to have tested at least 50 structures in that manner, and had no problems. Start slow, then open it up to WFO after you get set! Good luck!

hi im andrew wrote:I got first place in VA state tourney with a 2330 division C score.
Do you know what the 2nd place score was? I'm in NC and I haven't heard of any scores higher than my 2,200's (in my state.) The next highest I know of is about 1,900.

Re: Astronomy C

So I've been looking at deriving these radial velocity equations. They seem to be very important, I feel like I understand the concepts (I've been doing it since my sophomore year and I'm a senior now) but I've always had issues wrapping my head around the math parts. I'm in AB calculus this year, s...
