I was so surprised when I placed 5th, because we walked out of that room thinking we got rekt lol
rekt is the best word to describe it lol

Re: National test discussion

I think everyone should not be literally asking Chalker for every single score available. You noscoped the guy, okay fine. If the nats people all decide to release it it's on them :P But honestly, it is not yo, and should not be, essential to see the scores for everything (even builds). Sure, some ...

Re: National test discussion

Astronomy: A Good challenge, interesting questions, perfect length. Same people running it from last year, so the format was predictable enough. There were a few weird questions, though. Overall the only way to improve would be to have more space for work on the calculations. I'm not sure how much p...

Re: 2015 National Tournament: University of Nebraska

Did anyone else think Bungee Drop was run horrendously? The drop mechanism was awful - it was a platform that you flipped in order for the bottle to drop. First of all what comes with this is the danger of the bottle tipping over on its side/flipping over as it falls. If they were gonna go with thi...

Re: 2015 National Tournament: University of Nebraska

So, this is my last year in scioly and I just wanted to say a few things. If any nationals organizers (or people who know nationals organizers) read this, I hope you won't be offended by any of my constructive criticism. Also, if you disagree with me on anything, please let me know. So for my events...

Re: Fossils B/C

Props to Mr. Vorwald for running an awesome Fossils event this year! Very good length and reasonably challenging questions. Also, beautiful samples and great organization and timing. He and his team definitely knew what they were doing. I guess I'm just super happy about this because last year a lot...

Re: Fossils B/C

Does anyone know Gary Vorwald and Alan Noland? They're in charge of the Fossils Nationals test. I looked up some of Mr. Vorwald's old tests, but the only one I could find was the NY Regionals Division B test. The questions were good, but was way too short to be a Nationals test (like only 3-5 questi...

It happens, though! Last season was weird in IL because second place secured a National bid on a tiebreaker.
It actually happened in 2013. Palo Alto upset the reigning state champs Mira Loma (NorCal) by 1 point.
