Re: Way Too Early Predictions
I think there will be a National Tournament. Whether it will be virtual or actually in Arizona, probably too soon to guess. An effective vaccine showing up in November or December makes the live event a lot more likely IMO.

Re: Gravity Vehicle C
Since timing the vehicle was removed, it should be possible for one person to run the event.

Re: Gravity Vehicle 20-21
Probably too radical of a change to current rules and vehicles, although ramps would be ok IMO. I guess on every situation in depends, regarding on whether or not you have ever made such a vehicle or not, since if you've not done it; it looks tricky but once you understand the tricks it can also be...

Re: Gravity Vehicle 20-21
As many teams have extra time (no winding mousetraps, no setting up a launcher, no batteries) it would be interesting to have more than 1 target points - perhaps three. Teams would be given the same time (8 minutes) to complete 3 runs. The distances can be chosen between 9m-12m vertically, but in a...

Re: Incoming NorCal State & Santa Clara Regionals Cancellation?
With the cancellation of the SoCal State Tournament, does anyone think COVID-19 could also affect NorCal State or the last NorCal Regionals tournament, Santa Clara? I think these two tournaments are increasingly likely to be cancelled. I think that NorCal should’ve been canceled, since their outbre...

Re: Southern California 2020
Here is a synopsis based upon data collected from the COVID-19 cases in China: Only 8.1% of cases were 20-somethings, 1.2% were teens, and 0.9% were 9 or younger. The World Health Organization mission to China found that 78% of the cases reported as of Feb. 20 were in people ages 30 to 69. Data sugg...

Re: Mousetrap vehicle too heavy?
Hello, I have constructed my mousetrap vehicle but whenever I try to trigger it, it won't budge. I think it may be too heavy for the mousetrap to handle. It weighs approximately one pound, is that too much? The body is entirely 3D printed and fairly large. so I think that may be an issue. Yes, way ...
