Re: Indiana 2020
Carmel very likely did not bring their veterans and (I think this was stated somewhere in last year's thread) they use the earlier invites as a way for freshmen/underclassmen to learn the system and get acclimated to competition. Even tho I haven't been in contact in a while, I can confirm Carmel h...

Re: Indiana 2019
From what I recall, Carmel partnered with RP to help them put on their invitational: https://scioly.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=294&t=11601. Not sure if there was a connection before that. East, I'm pretty sure this is exactly why. But there wasn't a Carmel invite this year, just some kids from ...

Re: Indiana 2019
lol all the people who said Carmel would easily win I think they had some kinda severe event drops, since I tracked a lot of medals on them as I was filling out the spreadsheet (for the record, they only dropped six events with medals up to five). I’m glad they still pulled through despite that tho...

Re: Transportation to Invitationals?
I never said that going to invitationals wasn't beneficial. I'm just saying that it's not impossible to be successful without them, and that it's up to the team to decide for themselves how many they want to go to based on their circumstances. Running a team already costs quite a bit, especially wi...

Re: Indiana 2019
Greetings from your next door neighbors in Illinois! :D I was wondering if anyone from Carmel is lurking around on here and if they know if their team will be in attendance of the UChicago Invitational. Our team is headed down to UChicago but we aren't sure if Carmel will have a presence there like...

Nope, they send younger teams and bring the older team members for fun, emotional support, and logistical help.Vortexx wrote:
Did Carmel send their best teams here? I heard that they didn't but I just want to varify.

Re: Releasing graded tests at Regionals and States
So this doesn't exactly match up with the topic of this thread, but the discussion of studying for the specific ES at nats reminded me for it. My best event last year was probably Remote Sensing, but I felt like when I took the Nationals Remote Sensing test that I'd never taken a Remote Sensing tes...
