Re: 2022 Nationals

Not sure if any other invitational directors out there will see this, but what's the move for invitationals? Like what are we supposed to do? The 2022 events list that's been released has a bunch of build events, and for all intents and purposes, is a pre-covid events list. But Nationals is supposed...

Re: Mousetrap Vehicle C

Just wondering, what have people been using as their block to have their vehicle brake? Any recommendations? I've been using an office clip and it's been sort of no bueno...

Re: Mousetrap Vehicle C

I have a ton of questions that I just haven't been able to solve for a while now and I'm hoping someone could help: I don't think anyone ever really gave a clear answer to the issues raised about the wing-nut braking mechanism not functioning as it should. I too have found that when I chop off one o...

Re: Pennsylvania 2019

Stacked scores from Barons: Cumberland Valley - 70 Lower Merion - 74 Northwestern Lehigh - 171 Cumberland Valley and Lower Merion dominated. LM had more gold medals, but CV was more consistent with no events under 6th with their stacked score. I would still put LM ahead in my state prediction based...

Shady Side will also be present, and I believe a bunch of other teams from our region.

Re: Mousetrap Vehicle C

This might be a stupid question, but one that's been somewhat of a point of contention between me and a teammate; Rule 3a specifies that "No part of the jaw/hammer may extend more than 1.0 cm beyond the base." To my teammate, this means that you're not allowed to have a traditional arm att...

Re: Carnegie Mellon Science Olympiad Invitational!

MIT has updated their tournament date to be held on January 12th as well. Does CMU still plan to hold their invitational on January 12th or will this date possibly change to avoid a conflict?

Re: Pennsylvania 2018

Do all of the regions run the same exact tests? I know the State Directors write the same test for all of the regions in some of the events, but can someone say for sure if this is PA's policy in every event?
