Re: What's Next???

LPP is definitely a great starting point for AMA flying. I've got a couple kits for sale, and Lasercut sells a nice sport biplane as well. P-18 is fun and you can use Ikara props. We'll be flying all of these classes at the Nats in Arizona, last weekend in May. Please consider flying with us; we'll ...

Re: Flight Times

Just out of curiosity Josh, how high were the ceilings beyond the lights? Also, were there rafters as well, or were they up against the ceiling to be "out of the way"? My two teams are verifying that the ceiling/rafters do indeed exist....multiple times. The Science teacher, who is now addicted to ...

Re: Flight Times

The Jeffrey Trail invitational at Portala HS had lights around 24'. Top competitors launched high enough above the lights and girders to complete a full circle before getting below the lights (world class flying to put it mildly). One of them had a top time in the competition of 29 seconds, the othe...

Re: Glider Clinic

As hoped for, this was a fantastic event and I really hope we can do it again next year. Lee Hines, Don Link, Eugene Drake, Ronnie Espolt, and several other expert fliers showed up and helped make this an amazing experience for 25 students (in other words, the class was fully booked) plus coaches an...

Re: Stalling

We have been having an issue where after the plane flies for 20 seconds it begins to stall then slide out backwards. I don't know if it is a torque issue or an issue issue with the incline. But we have fiddled with everything and always get the same stalling action. Has anyone else had the same pro...

Glider Clinic

I posted this in the ELG forum, but decided it's relevant here to. While this event is for gliders, all of the organizers are experienced with all forms of flying, so Wright Stuff students also have an opportunity to learn from some of the foremost experts in free flight competition. Jeffrey Trail M...
