Re: Illinois 2019

You're underestimating Hinsdale. I did that last season, and it threw my predictions a bit. Go back and look at the Conant results again. They beat you by a more than 100pt margin ;) Uh, two things here. 1. Conant is a terrible representation. Way too early in the season and even then Hinsdale did ...

Sand Loader/Hopper

My team is interested in purchasing a nationals grade sand loader for practice and testing. Does anyone know where I can purchase one? Does cb hopper still make these? Their website does not seem to be working.

I've always called it SciOly or just Science Olympiad. No one from my school ever calls it SciO.

Re: Illinois 2017

So...does anyone know which teams go to Palatine invitational? I think Munster usually goes, as well as New Trier and Stevenson; Palatine is generally considered one of the better IL invitationals (as far as I know). The Palatine competition improved a lot from last year. Usually Loyola and Huntley...

Re: Illinois 2016

Good luck to the teams competing today! So what's the chance that New Trier makes it? They've been looking a little weak to me. ... We made it by a margin of like 60 points Yeah, they were looking weak to us too... unfortunately our WIDI team didn't do as well as usual and our electric vehicle brok...

Re: Who's Going to Nationals 2016?

Hi Everyone... I go to a school in Illinois and our school places around 5-6 at state every year (which is in 2 weeks). In general, the top 4 teams all hire parents and other adults to help in all events, especially building ones. Is there any way for us to be able to get further this year? Most pe...

Re: Dynamic Planet B/C

Honestly my best advice for you would be to either: a. read an earth science textbook b. use resources on soinc and the links from NOAA c. go through each letter on the study guide and google each term. Look at a couple of the links and then paraphrase what you read onto your study guide. This is t...
