Re: Your Daily Random Comment
Had a small world / funny coincidence moment the other day in which l0lit was also involved — somehow scioly.org reminders keep popping up in my life. If anyone’s attending the DUSO invitational this weekend, stop by and say hello, I’ll be supervising Flight.

Re: Your Daily Random Comment
I competed in my last Scioly competition today. It didn't feel like it. There was no bus ride with my team, no cheesy but traditional motivational speech ending with a "hands in" before the first events. I didn't even get to see half of my teammates, just heard their voices through speaker...

Re: Wright Stuff C
New York is doing the virtual STAR program so all build events will not be running at least for the regional/state competitions, I'm not sure about invitationals. Last year/this year's rules were rough but I'm still going to miss it, broken props, torn covering, planes stuck in basketball hoops/ligh...

Re: Wright Stuff C
What do you think next years rules will be like based on past patterns. Typically it's been a 2-year event rotation for rubber powered balsa flight events, so I'm wondering if they'll make it electric wright stuff (since it's been a trial event in recent years). Maybe they'll bring back the dime bo...

Re: 2020 Friendly Science Competition
I would question the majority if the build events, not because of the feasibility of running them, but because of how specific the "event requirements" would have to be. I understand how much time, effort, and money has been spent on devices, but it would most likely be a infringement on ...

Re: 2020 Friendly Science Competition
For certain build events like ping pong parachute and Wright Stuff I think it'd be possible to have a virtual competition by sending in videos. At the beginning clearly show that the plane meets specs (measure the prop, wings, etc. show the weight on a scale), have no cuts, and clearly show the wind...

Re: Your Daily Random Comment
States in a week, ping pong parachute launcher just arrived, plane is currently still broken, gravity vehicle is nonexistent, advisor was disappointed at regionals, and I still can't consistently identify between tyrannosaurus and allosaurus
